Hambrook Web Design is again proud to offer $1000 of web design services to help raise funds and awareness for this worthy cause.
After the success of The Big Hug campaign in 2010 and Endometriosis Awareness Month in March 2011, we've decided to donate web design services again this year. Be sure to tell your friends, and anyone that you think might need a website for their business, school or organisation. Every year someone gets a great deal.
All the proceeds will go directly to the Endometriosis NZ Southland Branch, we'll pay the auction fees ourselves.
Get your business, club or group a fresh new website design, or even spruce up your current web site. As well as standard websites, we do everything from blogs to online stores, portfolio galleries to large business solutions.
This is a great way to get a great deal for starting up a new website. The first year we tried this Alan won and put the $1000 towards an Online Dive Equipment Store and last year Jessica won and put the $1000 towards rebuilding her website selling fantastic toilet training stickers.
Check back here for more details, the auction will be up in the next couple of weeks and will close a the end of March.
The auction is LIVE, go see the fundraiser auction on TradeMe.
If you know someone who wants a website (or even needs a website and a nudge) for their business, organisation, or passion then send them here to check for updates.
You help the cause, and we help you.
Well over 100,000 girls and women have endometriosis in New Zealand, 176 million worldwide. The very nature of endometriosis and its distressing symptoms can have a destructive effect on lives, schooling, career, relationships and can compromise fertility. Endometriosis NZ Southland Branch works through Endometriosis New Zealand to provide support services to Southland Women and their loved ones.
Want to help but don't need a website?
Donations to the national office are gratefully accepted and can go straight to Head Office through Fundraise Online.
You can find out more about Endometriosis by going to NZ Endo.
Not in Southland?
That's fine, we'll happily work with you over phone/email/Skype to meet your needs.
You can see our portfolio here.

Hey Rick. What a great way to generate awareness for a great cause as well as for your business. Do you guys do all your sites with jojo? What's your thoughts on that vs Wordpress?

Hi Nathan, thanks for your comment. We use Jojo for most of our websites as it allows rapid development and more customisation than other platforms we have seen.
In regards to Jojo vs Wordpress… I have looked at Wordpress numerous times and have never been satisfied let alone impressed with the code or methodologies. I'm not throwing stones, but merely offering my opinion when asked. There are many great websites using Wordpress but I think that a lot of the time it is used because of preference instead of suitability.
